Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced PICU RN for a day shift assignment requiring 2 years of PICU experience with CICU exposure and OH or compact RN licensure.

Details

Work in the Pediatric ICU (PICU) of a children's hospital
Care for pediatric ICU patients with patient ratios of 1:1 or 1:2
Day shift schedule, 3x12 hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
Every other weekend (EOW) required
Floating required within the hospital, including to the CICU (CVPICU) and potentially to another campus
Epic charting system preferred

Requirements

Active OH or compact RN license required
Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
Minimum 2 years of PICU experience with exposure to CICU required
Supervisor reference within the past 2 years required for consideration

Additional Information

Provide critical care nursing to pediatric ICU patients, including those requiring cardiovascular intensive care support
Blocked scheduling accommodated only if willing to work all weekends (Friday-Sunday)
Minimum of 2 holidays coverage required
Full vaccination required for all candidates with no exceptions
First‑time travelers considered, provided they meet the 2 years of specialty experience requirement
Previous CCHMC employees are ineligible to apply for contract positions for 1 year from their termination date
Candidates within 50 miles of the facility will be considered local and subject to local pay rates
RTO requests must be submitted at time of consideration and cannot exceed 5 days total
