Veterinary Receptionist

Overview

Shawnee Animal Clinic is a growing, family‑oriented practice with eight doctors of veterinary medicine and over sixty support staff across our hospital, grooming facility, and boarding and training facility. We are looking for self‑starters who are eager to learn and can multi‑task in a fast‑paced veterinary hospital.

• Maintain the appearance of the hospital reception area; greet and assist clients and patients; triage client concerns.
• Answer calls or emails and direct to the appropriate party for resolution.
• Schedule appointments to maximize efficiency and daily flow.
• Check in and check out clients and process payments.
• Provide friendly, compassionate, and discreet emotional support to clients during times of need; be comfortable with various medical outcomes.
• Support a safe and welcoming environment for staff and clients.

• Experience:
  
  Experienced Receptionist with a minimum of 1 year veterinary experience preferred.
• Qualities:
  Compassionate, calm, team player, able to multi‑task, and strong communicator.
• Skills:
  
  Highly organized with computer skills; self‑starter with desire to grow knowledge and skillset.

• Pay range: $13/hr.
