Salem Valley Veterinary Clinic is looking to add a compassionate and skilled Client Service Representative to our team. At our Rarebreed clinic, you can help reimagine the veterinary experience in your community. Salem Valley Veterinary Clinic, located in Salem, CT, is dedicated to patients and clients’ wellbeing alike. Our team consists of passionate and highly trained individuals. We are a fully functioning hospital that offers dental services, diagnostics, surgery, and even equine services. We are a four‑doctor, innovative clinic with General Practice downstairs and Dental Specialty upstairs. We pride ourselves in providing quality medical care and individualized service with the goal of complete customer satisfaction.

This position will require a candidate that is team oriented, has a positive attitude, is a clear communicator and who enjoys people as well as their furry family members! This position has a four‑day work week and no weekends! We can't wait to show you what we are all about!

Salem Valley Veterinary Clinic in Salem, CT

$17‑20.00/hr (based on experience)

• Answer telephone calls quickly, efficiently, and in a professional and friendly manner using a multi‑line system
• Warmly greet clients
• Prepare patient files
• Receive and relay client correspondence and update client financial records
• Answer clients’ inquiries about basic animal care questions and routine procedures
• Educate clients on over‑the‑counter products such as flea and tick preventions
• Admit patients and handle medical record entries accurately
• Prepare client invoices for services performed
• Handle payment transactions
• Receive and relay telephone, fax, and email messages accurately and promptly

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience working as a Veterinary Receptionist/CSR is required
• Significant experience with basic office functions in a busy office environment
• Must be a team player and have compassion for pets and their people

Employment will require the successful completion of references and background check.
