Job Summary
Veterinary Practice Manager at Banfield Pet Hospital. Your practice‑management skills drive business results and your people‑leadership skills develop associates and foster an engaging team environment.
Responsibilities- Manage day‑to‑day operations so the medical team can devote time to delivering the highest quality veterinary care.
- Interview, hire, develop, and evaluate associates.
- Educate associates on Banfield guidelines, preventive care, and pet health needs.
- Develop and maintain the hospital budget and plan activities.
- Coordinate scheduling, time‑off requests, and continuing education needs.
- Monitor hospital processes, progress, and productivity.
- Collaborate with the veterinary medical team, field leadership, corporate headquarters, and Pet Smart® associates (when applicable).
- Provide leadership and analytical support to the Chief of Staff.
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related discipline preferred; equivalent education, training, and experience acceptable.
- Minimum three years related experience in healthcare, veterinary profession, or service industry with direct supervisory experience (hiring, associate development).
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Problem‑solving ability, conflict‑management experience, and leadership skills.
- Analytical know‑how.
Salary range: $60,630.99 – $77,578.10 (dependent on experience, skill level, education, and geographic location). Pay rates for salaried positions may differ by schedule worked.
