Overview

ACRT, Inc. is seeking energetic professionals to join as a Utility Capital Forester. This full-time, regular position is ideal for seasoned foresters with an educational background in forestry, horticulture, arboriculture, environmental studies, conservation, or related disciplines and with experience in these fields.

• Identify, inspect, and evaluate trees and brush along utility lines; submit inspection results to clients with recommendations.
• Plan, direct, and coordinate the activities of assigned tree clearance crews.
• Discuss and negotiate line-clearance crew access issues.
• Serve as a liaison between clients, tree crews, and client customers.

• Two- or four-year degree in forestry, Environmental Science, Natural Resources, or related field OR high school diploma plus two years of UVM experience. The high school diploma requirement can be waived for 5 years of UVM experience.
• Previous vegetation management experience preferred.
• Competent computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with GIS-integrated data collection software/hardware preferred but not required.
• Self-motivated, organized, production-oriented.
• Ability to work in an independent environment and manage a geographical area for all vegetation-related activities.
• Ability to work with stakeholders, utility customers, and line clearance vendors; strong interpersonal skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Multi-tasking and time-management skills.
• Ability to work in varied terrain and inclement weather with flexible schedules (nights and weekends as needed).
• Valid driver's license required.
• ISA Arborist certification preferred.

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the ACRT salary range for this position. Actual salaries vary based on factors including location, experience, and performance. Other rewards may include Paid Time Off, 401(k) with company match, ESOP contributions, medical, dental, and vision insurance, and region-specific benefits as eligible. For applicants residing in Ohio, the salary range for this role is from $18 to $24.
