Care Center located in Cincinnati, OH is seeking a fulltime Veterinary Assistant to join our outstanding surgical team for the summer! If you’re passionate about veterinary medicine, eager to gain hands‑on experience, and thrive in a fast‑paced environment, we’d love to meet you.
Schedule: Fulltime position, schedule will vary - weekdays only
Pay Range: $17–20/hour depending on experience

Patient Care & Support
- Assist veterinarians and technicians with exams, procedures, and treatments
- Monitor and support surgical and hospitalized patients
- Perform surgical prep and follow operating room protocols
- Maintain surgical equipment and prepare lab samples
Communication & Client Education
- Share organized updates with the care team
- Provide pet owners with clear home‑care instructions and updates
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure seamless care
Hospital Maintenance & Safety
- Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient hospital environment
- Accurately document patient care and treatments
- Patient restraint skills, including behavioral assessment and safe handling
- Ability to stay focused in a fast‑paced work environment
- Strong problem‑solving abilities
- Basic computer proficiency
- Effective communication and organizational skills
- High school diploma, GED, or higher education
- Prior clinical or animal handling experience preferred (but not required)
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds unassisted
- Hands‑On
