Summary:

The Estate Crew role is responsible for mowing, performing landscape maintenance tasks, and handling all grounds-related duties at Greenacres with the utmost quality and efficiency.

Responsibilities:
  • Seasonal maintenance of landscape beds throughout all Greenacres sites.
  • Mulching of landscape beds.
  • Ensure proper plant watering schedules.
  • Prune trees, shrubs, and plants to ensure healthy growth and aesthetic appeal.
  • Clean and maintain outdoor seating and common spaces.
  • Assist with snow removal, salting, and ice management during winter months.
  • Operate vehicles and powered equipment, such as trucks, utility vehicles, tractors, mowers and trimmers.
  • Mow and trim lawns using power mowers and trimmers.
  • Provide proper upkeep of trees, shrubs and gardens which can includes trimming, planting and weeding.
  • Use hand tools such as shovels, rakes, pruning saws, chain saws, hedge or brush trimmers or axes.
  • Provide proper upkeep of sidewalks, driveways, parking lots, fences and other grounds features.
  • Seasonally maintain grounds around facilities to include the removal of brush, tree limbs, and leaves
  • Learn grounds department operating procedures.
  • Provide support services for foundation events which may include: set up, clean up, parking attendant.
  • Provide support services to other departments for the advancement of the mission.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • 0-3 years landscape maintenance experience.
  • Experience in operating mowers, trimmers and other pertinent equipment is preferred
  • Able to work effectively with individuals of differing knowledge and background.
  • Ability to perform essential job functions, including lifting up to 50 pounds and prolonged standing, walking, sitting, and working in varied indoor and outdoor environments, with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Highly motivated and self-driven individual with attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task with the assistance of facilities manager.
  • Valid Ohio driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to pass a drug screen, BCI/FBI background check and physical as required.
  • Superior customer service skills.
  • Punctual and dependable.
  • Polite and courteous with a ‘how can I help” attitude.
