Introduction

Our client is an AAHA-accredited animal hospital seeking an Urgent Care Veterinarian to join their dedicated team. This small animal practice provides high-quality urgent care services for pets in need of immediate attention, offering an opportunity to work in a fast-paced and rewarding clinical environment.

The hospital operates Monday through Friday from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. and Saturday through Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. The position offers full-time hours with no overnight or on-call responsibilities, providing a balanced schedule for veterinarians seeking flexibility.

Role Description and Responsibilities

The Urgent Care Veterinarian will diagnose, treat, and manage a wide variety of medical cases requiring timely intervention. Clinical responsibilities include performing surgery, laboratory testing, radiology, and patient care while maintaining clear client communication and accurate medical records. The role also involves mentoring support staff, guiding hospital workflow, and ensuring high standards of medical practice. The position is open to experienced veterinarians who are confident in handling fast-paced, diverse cases within an urgent care setting.

The hospital is equipped with an in-house laboratory capable of performing bloodwork, renal and liver enzyme screenings, urinalysis, clotting times, and disease testing including FeLV/FIV and parvovirus. Additional diagnostic capabilities include digital radiography and limited scope ultrasound for rapid assessments of the abdomen, chest, or musculoskeletal system. These tools allow for efficient and effective diagnosis and treatment during urgent care visits.

Team

The hospital currently has three veterinarians supported by an experienced and collaborative team of technicians and assistants.
