Veterinary Assistant, Emergency
Location: Cincinnati, OH
Schedule: Full Time | 1st shift | 7am-7:30pm | 3 days per week | Rotating Weekends | One On Call Shift Per Month
Compensation: $20-23/hr, Dependent On Experience

In Your Day-To-Day, You Will- Provide Support to the Veterinarians and Veterinary Technicians during exams, procedures and treatments while helping to ensure quality care for all patients
- Provide pet owners with clear home-care instructions and updates on hospitalized pets
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure seamless care
- Ensure clean, safe, and efficient hospital operations
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient care and treatments
- A positive, team-oriented attitude with initiative and a willingness to help
- The ability to remain focused, calm, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills
- Experience assessing patient behavior and safely restraining and handling fractious patients
- A passion for animal care and continued professional development
- Basic computer proficiency
- At least one year of clinical experience
- A high school diploma, GED, or higher education
- The ability to lift up to 40 pounds without assistance
- A positive, team-oriented attitude with initiative and a willingness to help
- The ability to remain focused, calm, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills
- Experience assessing patient behavior and safely restraining and handling fractious patients
