- Assist veterinarians and technicians with patient exams, treatments, diagnostics, and medical procedures to deliver exceptional patient care.
- Monitor surgical and hospitalized patients, providing attentive nursing support and recognizing changes in patient condition.
- Prepare patients for surgery by performing surgical prep, maintaining sterile technique, and supporting the team throughout surgical procedures.
- Collect and prepare laboratory samples while ensuring surgical equipment and treatment areas are clean, organized, and ready for use.
- Communicate effectively with veterinarians, technicians, and fellow team members to ensure seamless patient care and continuity throughout each shift.
- Educate and support pet owners by providing compassionate updates and clear discharge and home-care instructions.
- Maintain accurate medical records and document patient treatments, observations, and communications in a timely manner.
- Help foster a clean, safe, and efficient hospital environment while always advocating for the health, comfort, and well-being of every patient.
- A positive, team-first attitude with the initiative to jump in, help where needed, and contribute to a collaborative hospital environment.
- The ability to remain calm, adaptable, and focused while working in a fast-paced, dynamic clinical setting.
- A genuine passion for animal care and a desire to learn, grow, and build your veterinary skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to providing compassionate care to patients and exceptional service to clients.
- A high school diploma, GED, or equivalent. Previous veterinary, clinical, or animal handling experience is preferred, but not required—we're happy to train motivated individuals.
- The ability to safely lift up to 40 pounds unassisted and comfortably perform the physical responsibilities of the role.
- A dependable work ethic, strong organizational skills, and a willingness to support your teammates while delivering outstanding patient care.
