Job DescriptionThe Supplier Performance Manager (SPM) manages a portfolio of North American suppliers (average 10). The SPM oversees execution of contracts, ensuring suppliers deliver on time, meet quality requirements, and achieve target prices.
Roles- Measure supplier performance and formally communicate results.
- Broadcast regular performance Score Cards.
- Ensure suppliers and internal teams are aware of performance issues.
- Link supplier performance to contractual obligations and calculate penalties or claims when applicable.
- Implement relevant logistic and quality KPIs to anticipate performance problems.
- Characterize consequences of supplier performance on the supply chain.
- Define action plans with suppliers and Safran teams to contain and recover non‑performance.
- Use contract incentives to prompt recovery; manage claims process with commercial teams when relevant.
- Lead regular risk analysis with suppliers, including load vs. capacity assessment and industrialization risks.
- Build a Business Continuity Plan with suppliers to mitigate major events.
- Manage plans to reduce supplier risk of non‑performance.
- Define a visit and audit plan tailored to each supplier.
- Coordinate Safran internal team working with suppliers (planner, quality engineer, purchaser, industrialization leaders, etc.) at operational and management levels.
- Include meeting rituals (yearly, monthly).
- Experience in operation management, supply chain management, or project management (industrial environment, preferably aerospace or automotive).
- Familiarity with LEAN principles (Green Belt certification preferred).
- Proficiency in data manipulation and Excel.
- Excellent communication skills (summarizing and conveying complex messages).
- Resilience to stress and pressure (especially during performance crises).
- Focus on innovation and problem solving.
Travel required to the United States, Mexico, and France.
