About the Role

Quality Assurance Specialist (IATF 16949 and Internal Audit Coordinator) Assist, evaluate and guide quality assurance activities with a focus on IATF 16949 and other Quality Management System activities.

Responsibilities
  • Point of contact for external auditors and internal management for IATF 16949 system and document control for Ohio and Michigan offices.
  • Responsible for ensuring company compliance with IATF and Customer Specific requirements.
  • Participate in IATF 16949 external audit and ensure compliance to IATF 16949 requirements.
  • Assist with Internal Audit activities including scheduling audits, preparing auditors and ensure the audit plan conforms to requirements under IATF 16949.
  • Ensure all internal auditors are certified to audit assignments and are conducting audits in a timely fashion.
  • Record, track and ensure closure of internal and external audit findings.
  • Ensure audit findings corrective actions meet the requirements.
  • Provide document control training to all new hire employees that work with documentation.
  • Develop and maintain process documentation and training materials as required.
  • Interact with all staff responsible for document creation to meet IATF and Customer requirements.
  • Track and monitoring of required KPI’s.
  • Lead and/or support with any other assigned tasks.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 1 year of related experience.
  • IATF 16949 Internal Auditor and AIAG core tools certificate preferred.
  • Certified Lead Auditor through ASQ preferred.
  • Associate degree or higher is preferred.
Required Skills
  • Effective communication skills with coworkers across departments.
  • Ability to effectively use Microsoft Office software.
Preferred Skills
  • Knowledge of PLEX software would be beneficial.
