Quality Assurance Technician

Caruso is a family-owned, 4th generation company that delivers fresh ready-to-eat, and pre-cut produce, sandwiches, salads, and fresh meal kits to retail distribution centers and direct-to-retail stores all over the USA.

Job Description:

We are looking for a 2nd shift FSQA Technician to ensure company and customer quality standards are being met. The FSQA Tech will work under the supervision of the Quality Food Safety Supervisor and/or Quality Food Safety Manager where they will conduct quality tests, perform inspection checks, calibrate equipment, and communicate test results.

Responsibilities
:

• Reviewing and revising testing procedures.
• Conducting inspection checks on goods and production processes.
• Performing manual and automated quality checks.
• Ensuring employees adhere to safety and quality regulations.
• Reporting safety and quality infringements to the QA/Food Safety Supervisor and/or the QA/Food Safety Manager.
• Calibrating and cleaning testing equipment.
• Advising on procedures to improve production efficiencies.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Spanish.
• Ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to deal effectively with a diversity of individuals at all organizational levels.
• Ability to work independently and/or within the team.
• Quality Assurance/Food Safety experience in a cGMP facility.
• General Quality Assurance experience will also be considered.
• Experienced with computer data entry required.
• Acute attention to detail.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs at times occasionally.
• Must be able to quickly traverse manufacturing areas.
