Job DescriptionResponsible for performing Certification review for highly complex mechanical parts, Mil spec electronics and PWB components. Responsibilities include reviewing First Article documentation of incoming material to quality assurance provisions, Mil specs, customer requirements, specific material requirements, and regulatory requirements. Reviews conformance to outlined quality assurance and contractual requirements. Assists in evaluating test data and material requirements. Identifies deficiencies and collaborates with Program Quality, Supplier Quality, and Procurement to make recommendations for compliance and acceptance based on certification review.
Routinely supports and interfaces with Supplier Quality, Program Quality, and Procurement.
- Performs detailed review of documentation including FAI’s, engineering drawing requirements and conformance to precise specifications.
- Performs review of key product/process characteristics per contractual requirements.
- Verifies sampling plans, COC’s, material certifications and part revision levels.
- Use established guidelines and quality assurance provisions to insure compliance.
- Communicates quality requirement deficiencies and documentation concerns to the appropriate quality support (QE / SQE) team.
- Interacts with RI, Supplier Quality, Program Quality and Procurement as necessary.
- Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience OR 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience.
- 2 years or more experience with and knowledge of Engineering drawings, Manufacturing standards.
- 4 years or more experience in a technical environment related to required skill sets, or equivalent combination of experience and education.
- 4 years or more experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
- 2 years or more experience related to Certification review.
- Experience in TIPQA WEB data management software.
- Experience at working with MIL-STD drawings and requirements.
- Experience with AS9100 requirements.
- Strong Microsoft EXCEL skills.
- Knowledge of Costpoint software.
