Job Summary:
Is responsible for the operation of the production workstation to produce sufficiently and in high-quality within the deadlines and in compliance with safety regulations.
Main Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular inspections and testing of raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
- Perform various tests on materials, including aggregates, asphalt, and concrete, using appropriate methods and equipment.
- Document and maintain accurate records of testing results, inspection findings, and quality control measures taken.
- Identify any quality issues and work with production and engineering teams to implement corrective actions.
- Assist in the development and refinement of quality control procedures and standards.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and best practices while conducting inspections and tests.
- Collaborate with other departments to provide support and guidance on quality-related issues.
- Participate in audits and assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of quality control measures.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in a related field (e.g., engineering, materials science) is preferred.
- Previous experience in quality assurance/quality control, preferably in the construction or paving materials industry.
- Knowledge of quality control methodologies, standards, and testing procedures.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with team members and other departments.
- Proficiency in using testing equipment and software related to quality control.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds repeatedly
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Mix design experience and/or ODOT Level 3 Asphalt certification
- Physical Requirements:
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting materials (up to 50 pounds) and moving around job sites.
- Comfortable working in various environmental conditions, including exposure to dust and noise.
