Job Description:

Responsible for performing calibrations, tests and/or audits of MTE units, with regards to OEM and internal specifications. Performs a variety of duties in the Metrology lab including updating calibration records, monitoring the periodic recall of gages and tooling, along with processing items that have been calibrated externally. Maintaining documentation in accordance with AS9100 and required internal procedures. Maintains and ensures the required level of professionalism and quality adherence to standards and procedures.

Essential Functions:

  • Effectively communicate with all employees in a professional manner.
  • Maintain calibration records for all MTE per the requirements.
  • Maintain the production lines calibration needs and works with relevant others to mitigate any risks.
  • Assist in maintaining department compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Searches, investigates and selects technical reference data pertinent to the project assigned, utilizing engineering tests, papers, journals, periodicals and other informational sources as necessary.
  • Works closely with production to ensure accurate communication of required deadlines and mission critical needs.
  • Actively participate and serve as a resource in the resolution of problems and issues related to calibration and production support.
  • Support and promote the execution of proper calibration techniques as applicable, and the explanation of any nonconformance to protect against any risk to product.
  • Attention to detail and following procedures is a must.
  • Must be able to obtain a US Security clearance.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience OR 2 years post-Secondary / Associates Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.

Preferred Additional

Skills:

  • Ability to read gage drawings with GD&T.
  • Familiarity with TIPQA software.
  • Previous experience with calibration standards and requirements.
  • Prior use of calibration techniques and methods.
