What You Will Do
Break down complicated systems into individual pieces to improve productivity.
Visualize improvement opportunities and convert into processes that meet aerospace quality standards.
With assistance from the Engineering Manager, determine justification, develop project schedules and identify opportunities and risks associated with ideas; develop risk mitigation strategies to manage risk.
Prepare technical specifications and other documents that can be used to procure technical services and products or work instructions.
Responsible for projects and/or multiple tasks within functional discipline, making a significant contribution to the team by applying knowledge.
Qualifications- AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post‑high‑school training) with a minimum of 8 years relevant experience OR High School diploma/GED/equivalent with 10 or more years of relevant experience.
- Experience with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
- Working knowledge of mechanical design, pneumatics/hydraulic, thermodynamics, fluid dynamics and heat transfer.
- Demonstrated understanding of the fundamentals of the discipline and role including statistical process control and data analytics.
- Knowledge of manufacturing and assembly processes.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
- Understanding of continuous improvement tools such as Six Sigma and LEAN.
The salary range for this role is 60,000 USD – 114,000 USD. Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short‑term disability, long‑term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off and holidays. Specific benefits depend on the specific business unit and collective‑bargaining agreement.
