Quality Engineer
The Quality Engineer ensures products/services meet standards by developing/implementing quality systems, monitoring processes, analyzing data, conducting audits, resolving issues, and training staff, focusing on continuous improvement and compliance with regulations. Key duties involve maintaining quality documentation, coordinating inspections, improving processes, and collaborating across departments to achieve quality goals, from raw material review to final product testing.
Duties and Responsibilities- Oversees NCM process including conducting MRB and issuing SCARS
- Supports risk assessment, root cause investigations and closure activities related to nonconforming product, CAPA and SCAR processes.
- Performs data and trending metrics analysis related to quality system and goals:
- Discrepancy reports, shipped parts analysis
- Manages and completes special projects as assigned.
- Conducts internal quality system, workstation and/or external supplier audits as assigned.
- Creates, revises and reviews quality system documentation related to job activities.
- Conducts final unit inspections.
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
- Inspects incoming materials to verify conformance to specifications.
- Working knowledge of Quality measurement and test instruments; including calipers, height gage, etc.
- Working knowledge of ISO 9001 and Sampling Plans
- Must be able to work independently in an organized manner.
- Must be able to work well in a team environment and participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives.
- Must be detail oriented and understand the importance of accuracy
- 1-5 years' experience, High School Diploma or Equivalent;
Associate degree preferred - Knowledge of databases (fields, tables, queries, linking, etc.)
- Thorough knowledge of Weiss Technik NA Inc. Products, specifications, and options
- Knowledge of Visual and Visual CRM. Understand CRM system, how it interfaces with other automation projects and how to best navigate it.
- Experience in Excel, Access, and BI Launch Pads
- Six Sigma
Mostly stationary work with occasional movement throughout the facility to access files, chambers, office machinery, etc. Works at a desk and a computer screen for extended periods of time. Employees must be able to manually enter data to the computer system and understand the screen and images that appear. Frequently lifting and carrying up to 10 lbs. and occasionally lifting to 50 lbs.
Use of hands to hold, lift and handle materials. Occasional climbing, bending and squatting. Periodic travel may be involved.
