Quality Control Lab Technician
The Quality Control (QC) Lab Technician supports routine laboratory testing to ensure the timely release of raw materials, in-process samples, finished products, and stability samples. The role requires strict adherence to approved procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and applicable regulatory requirements while maintaining data integrity and laboratory compliance. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to products that help make the world healthier, cleaner, and safer.
Responsibilities- Prepare solutions for chemical and physical testing on raw materials, in-process samples, finished products, and stability samples to verify compliance with quality and regulatory standards.
- Accurately document all laboratory activities, test results, calculations, and observations in laboratory notebooks and other required records.
- Operate, calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation, including balances, pH meters, and other analytical equipment as applicable.
- Maintain laboratory cleanliness, organization, and good housekeeping practices in accordance with GMP requirements.
- Assist with inventory management of laboratory supplies, chemicals, standards, and reagents to ensure adequate stock and proper storage.
- Follow all safety procedures, environmental requirements, and company policies while performing laboratory activities.
- Support internal and external audits and regulatory inspections by providing documentation, explanations, and laboratory support as needed.
- Perform all duties in strict compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), and safety guidelines.
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, or a related scientific discipline.
- 0–1 year of laboratory experience (academic or professional) preferred.
- Experience working in a GMP-regulated environment preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to perform work with a high degree of accuracy.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a laboratory setting.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills for documenting and reporting laboratory activities.
- Strong problem-solving skills to identify and resolve issues with tests, instruments, or procedures.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Ability to stand for extended periods while performing laboratory work.
- Ability to lift and carry laboratory supplies up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) during laboratory activities.
Skills & Qualifications
- Prior hands-on experience in a quality control or analytical laboratory environment.
- Familiarity with operating and maintaining common laboratory instruments such as balances and pH meters.
- Experience supporting audits or regulatory inspections in a laboratory or GMP environment.
- Demonstrated motivation to excel and a strong desire for continuous learning and professional growth.
This role is based in a laboratory environment that operates under strict GMP, GLP, and safety guidelines. The position follows a day shift schedule with a 6:00 a.m. start time, Monday through Friday. The work involves standing for extended periods, handling laboratory chemicals and reagents, and using analytical instruments such as balances and pH meters. Team members wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required and maintain a clean, organized workspace aligned with regulatory and company standards.
