** Position Summary*
* Our client is seeking a  
** QC Scientist I
** to join their Quality Control Analytical Chemistry team supporting pharmaceutical manufacturing operations. This role will perform routine analytical testing and documentation of pharmaceutical manufacturing samples, with a primary focus on  
** residual active pharmaceutical ingredients and detergents** .

The ideal candidate will have hands-on laboratory experience with  
** HPLC and/or mass spectrometry** , strong attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a regulated pharmaceutical environment.

** Key Responsibilities*
* + Perform routine chemical testing of residual swab samples using established and internally developed analytical methods.

+ Execute validated analytical methods for pharmaceutical residual analysis using  
** HPLC, Mass Spectrometry, and Total Organic Carbon (TOC)
** techniques.

+ Prepare test solutions, including diluents and mobile phases.

+ Perform routine instrument calibrations and verifications as required.

+ Identify, document, and promptly report out-of-specification (OOS), unexpected, or non-routine analytical results.

+ Accurately document laboratory testing, analytical results, observations, and supporting data in accordance with established procedures and systems.

+ Review and communicate test results clearly and effectively.

+ Maintain laboratory equipment and work areas in a clean, organized, and safe condition.

+ Perform all laboratory activities in compliance with  
** Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), cGMP, GLP, and applicable safety requirements** .

+ Maintain required training and compliance standards.

+ Manage multiple testing assignments while meeting established workload and turnaround expectations.

+ Take initiative to pursue additional training and learning opportunities and contribute to the development of team knowledge.

** Qualifications*
* ** Education*
* + Bachelor's degree or higher in a physical science;  
** Chemistry is preferred** .

+ Equivalent combinations of education, training, and relevant work experience may be considered.

** Experience*
* +  
** 1-2 years of laboratory experience
** involving chemical testing and chromatographic techniques is preferred.

+ Working knowledge of  
** HPLC and Mass Spectrometry
** is required, along with practical laboratory experience using these techniques.

** Skills & Proficiencies*
* + Strong understanding of instrumental analytical techniques and qualitative/quantitative chemical analysis.

+ Familiarity with quality and regulatory requirements within the pharmaceutical industry.

+ Strong problem-solving skills with a logical, scientific approach.

+ Ability to read and interpret technical procedures and applicable regulations.

+ Strong written and verbal communication skills.

+ Excellent attention to detail and accurate documentation practices.

+ Ability to prioritize and manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced laboratory environment.

+ Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with a laboratory team.

+ Basic mathematical skills applicable to laboratory testing, including calculations related to test reliability, variance, and correlation.

+ Commitment to following SOPs, cGMPs, work instructions, analytical methods, and laboratory guidelines.

** Physical Requirements & Work Environment*
* This position requires the ability to:

+ Stand and walk for extended periods of time.

+ Periodically stoop, kneel, crouch, and reach.

+ Lift, carry, and move light to medium items weighing approximately  
** 10-35 pounds** .

+ Perform repetitive hand and finger movements, including grasping and computer work.

+ Use laboratory equipment and read technical materials for extended periods.

+ Sit, reach, communicate, and hear for prolonged periods as needed.

** Required PPE*
* + Safety glasses

+ Safety shoes

+ Lab coat

+ Protective gloves

+ Safety apron

+ Organic respirator, occasionally as required
