Position: Paid Internship - Visitor Research & Evaluation Project
INTERNSHIP POSITION SUMMARYThe Cincinnati Art Museum has an opening for a Visitor Research and Evaluation Project Intern. This internship position will contribute to multiple ongoing mission-driven projects, supporting visitor experience, audience research and evaluation, and strategic planning efforts. The intern’s time will be split between supporting visitor experience data collection and assisting with collaborative research projects with teams across the museum.

Research projects will focus on supporting the strategic plan through listening to diverse multivocality and taking deeper dives into visitor interests and motivations. The intern will also support research related to the Art Bridges COVES cohort, which will include social connection and wellness outcomes that support our work with the new strategic plan.

This part-time paid internship will take place mid-May to mid-August 2026 and run for 12 weeks and be scheduled approximately 15-18 hours per week.
ESSENTIAL INTERNSHIP FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIESWorking under the direction of the Visitor Research Coordinator, duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

Assist the museum in collecting data.

Utilize research to evaluate previous guest services and future impact through recommendations and benchmarks.

Compilation and analysis of existing data from multiple sources. Advanced critical thinking and problem solving will be required.

Create comprehensive reports of project findings to present to museum teams.

Provide exceptional visitor experience.

Other duties as assigned.
INTERNSHIP REQUIREMENTSUndergraduate or recent graduate with an interest in research, specifically in museums or related institutions, related to the arts, social-science, psychology, or related field.

Candidate must be comfortable interacting with the public, providing great customer service, and engage in active listening.

Intern must be a team player who can work with a diverse group of staff and volunteers. Knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.

Must be available to work weekends and select weeknights as needed, specifically Thursday evenings and final Friday Art After Dark events.

Compensation details: 12-15 Hourly Wage
