Job Overview
The Department of Cancer Biology at the University of Cincinnati is hiring a Postdoctoral Fellow supported by NCI R01 grants to study transcriptional and epigenetic gene regulation in breast cancer metastasis and therapeutic resistance. The research focuses on elucidating the role and molecular mechanisms of gene‑ and tissue‑specific transcriptional cofactors and small RNAs in liquid‑liquid phase separation (LLPS) and related processes.
The candidate will use biochemical, molecular, genomic, and mouse genetic approaches, and help develop RNA‑based nano‑therapeutics to overcome therapeutic resistance of human breast cancer.
- Conduct research experiments within the pre‑determined research scope and methodology.
- Gather and analyze data and develop new ideas that promote current research.
- Prepare data summaries, reports, manuscripts, and presentations of research results.
- Participate or assist in manuscript writing for publication in scientific journals and/or presentation; may assist in grant writing.
- Keep informed of developments in the field to maintain and enhance professional expertise.
- Maintain the laboratory, including equipment maintenance and ordering of supplies as needed.
- Teach techniques to others, train, and mentor junior research staff.
- Engage in appropriate training and professional development opportunities.
- Play an active role in seeking career and research advice from the faculty supervisor and other faculty members.

Doctoral Degree in Molecular and Cellular Cancer Biology, Biochemistry, or a related field.
Additional Qualifications Considered- Prior experience with Cancer Biology, Animal Models, RNA Splicing or LLPS Biochemistry.
