Job Overview
Full‑time Research Manager to oversee and guide research activities that align with the University of Cincinnati’s agenda. This role collaborates with the head of the program and a team of research professionals to shape the research agenda, secure external funding, and disseminate findings.
Essential Functions- Develop a research agenda using analytical approaches, models, and methods; translate results into timely policy recommendations.
- Coordinate and assist in the development of external funding proposals.
- Manage, oversee, plan, and conduct research projects; handle daily activities such as project development, data collection, and analysis.
- Assist with the dissemination of research findings and maintain systems for tracking presentations, publications, and other outputs.
- Write and publish white papers, conference reports, opinion articles, blogs, and policy briefs.
- Ensure adherence to institutional, federal, and sponsor‑specific guidelines concerning human subjects and research integrity.
- Organize research documentation, coordinate meetings, and facilitate communication among research teams.

- Bachelor’s Degree in biological sciences or related field.
Four (4) years of experience in an academic, government, or private‑sector research, staff, and/or administrative position.
Additional Qualifications Considered- Master or Ph.D. in chemistry or neuroscience with experience managing clinical trials and/or drug development.
- Experience in preparing, submitting, and managing IRB protocols, amendments, and reports to ensure ongoing compliance with ethical standards.
- Training and experience in designing and managing data collection tools in REDCap, ensuring accuracy, security, and proper documentation of research data.
- Training and experience in extracting and analyzing data from a variety of sources; supporting statistical and qualitative analysis; interpreting research findings.
