• Conduct research experiments in molecular parasitology under the close supervision of the primary investigator.
• Perform functional analysis of proteins involved in cell signaling in Trypanosoma cruzi.
• Apply cellular and molecular biology techniques such as cell culture, gene editing, fluorescence microscopy, gel electrophoresis, western blot analysis, and phenotypic analysis of trypanosome cell lines.
• Gather and analyze data, develop new ideas, and prepare data summaries, reports, manuscripts, and presentations.
• Assist in manuscript writing for scientific journals and presentations.
• Keep abreast of developments in the field to maintain and enhance professional expertise.
• Maintain laboratory equipment and order supplies as needed.
• Teach laboratory protocols and techniques to others, and mentor junior research staff.

Doctoral Degree in Cellular Biology, Molecular Biology, or a related field before the date of appointment.
