Job Overview

This research assistant position will support the coordination of laboratory projects and research studies in neuroscience. The role involves performing wet lab and animal behavior experiments, data analysis, and independent contributions to projects on decision‑making and addiction using rodent models.

Essential Functions
  • Perform standard wet lab and animal behavior experiments and record data according to research protocols.
  • Interpret data and assist in judging validity of data; perform statistical and graphical analysis of data.
  • Assist with animal colony management and animal husbandry.
  • Apply research principles for less complex assignments.
  • Manage IACUC and IBC protocols.
  • Purchase supplies and maintain laboratory organization.
  • Perform related duties as needed.
Required Education
  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Five years of relevant work experience and/or specialized training can substitute for education.
Required Experience
  • Additional related work experience may be required depending on field or discipline.
