Position:
Research Assistant – Neuroscience (Full‑time)
Location:
University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, Department of Pharmacology, Physiology, and Neurobiology, Cincinnati, OH
Job
Assist in coordinating laboratory projects and research studies on decision‑making and addiction using rodent models. Contribute independently to projects and studies, applying professional training and experience.
Essential Functions- Perform standard wet‑lab and animal behavior experiments and record data in accordance with research protocols.
- Interpret data and assist in assessing data validity, including performing statistical and graphical analysis.
- Assist in animal colony management and animal husbandry.
- Apply research principles to less complex assignments.
- Manage IACUC and IBC protocols.
- Purchase supplies and maintain laboratory organizational structure.
- Perform related duties based on departmental need.
- Bachelor’s Degree. Five (5) years of relevant work experience and/or specialized training may satisfy the education requirement.
- Additional related work experience may be required depending on field or discipline.
