The laboratory of Dr. Loren Wold in the Department of Pharmacology, Physiology, and Neurobiology at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine is looking for a motivated Research Assistant to assist with the performance of basic preclinical studies investigating the role of the environment on cardiopulmonary disease progression. The laboratory is a dynamic environment that provides the essential skills for a career in research and/or medicine for the motivated employee.
Salary Range: $43,492.80 - $58,177.60 annually. Final pay rate will be determined based on the selected candidate's qualifications and experience.
Essential Functions:
- Perform experiments and record data according to research protocols.
- Interpret data and assist in judging validity of data.
- Assist in writing research protocols, research proposals and manuscripts.
- May perform statistical and graphical analysis of data.
- May assist in animal colony management and animal husbandry.
- Apply research principles for less complex assignments.
- Perform related duties based on departmental need.

Required
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences or Neuroscience or a related field. Four (4) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement.
Physical Requirements/Work Environment:
Office environment/no specific unusual physical or environmental demands.
