Job Overview

The College of Medicine Department of Cancer Biology is seeking a highly motivated and talented Part Time
- Research Fellow to join our research team at the University of Cincinnati. This fellow position focuses on mechanistic and translational liver disease research, specifically investigating the metabolic dysregulation underlying Metabolic Dysfunction-Associated Steatotic Liver Disease (MASLD), Metabolic Dysfunction-Associated Steatohepatitis (MASH), and hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). Working closely with the Principal Investigator, the incumbent will utilize advanced in vivo, ex vivo, and in vitro models to uncover novel disease mechanisms and identify therapeutic targets.

Serve temporary appointments, and work under the supervision of a professional mentor who is responsible for the Fellow’s fiscal and intellectual activities. The purpose of the Research Fellowship is to gain understanding and advanced knowledge of research methods and application of the theoretical knowledge from academic training, evaluate strengths and identification of limitations, development and refinement of research skills consistent with the particular scope of practice.
