A full-time Research Scientist position is available towork under the supervision of Dr. Jun Wang. This position will joina highly productive research program focusing on aerosol and airquality issues and participate in different research projects,protocols and experiments on various topics, but mainly on overseeing a project on the development and testing of newlydeveloped respiratory protection devices for general publicuse.

The initial appointment is expected to be a continuous
12-month period, with the possibility of renewal based on funding,performance, and project needs.

• Modify and adapt experimental protocols, techniques and procedures to the project requirements. Design, coordinate and conduct experimental procedures.
• Prepare research results and written summaries of resultsin manuscript form for publications and in graphics form for presentation at research meetings and for grant proposals.
• May submit research proposals as principal investigatorfor intramural/extramural funding.
• May provide direct and/or indirect supervision to graduate research assistants and other research staff.
• Perform related duties based on departmentalneed.

• Doctoral degree in industrial hygiene, environmentalhealth sciences, occupational safety and health, public health, orrelated engineering field.
• At least one year of independent research experience after graduating from a doctoral program.

• PhD and/or MD required.

• Additional related work experience may be required depending on field or discipline.

• Knowledge of respiratory protection devices such as N95,PAPR, etc.
• Experience with statistical software, qualitative analysis software, survey platforms, data visualization tools, ormixed-methods research.
• Familiar with developing manuscripts for peer-reviewed,conference…
