Position Summary

The Inside Sales / Customer Service representative is responsible for providing exceptional customer support through order processing, issue resolution, and product knowledge. This role focuses on increasing customer satisfaction and driving sales growth through effective communication and service.

Required Skills & Abilities
  • Strong data entry and computer skills.
  • Ability to multitask with excellent attention to detail.
  • Above average communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent analytical and creative problem solving skills, including sound independent judgment and the ability to identify when issues need escalation.
  • Strong client service mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently, manage pressure, and meet deadlines.
  • Effective planning and time management skills.
  • Product knowledge in Cutting Tools, Safety, Abrasives, MRO (preferred).
  • Industry knowledge in manufacturing or industrial distribution (a plus).
Primary Responsibilities
  • Handle inbound customer sales and service calls/emails: process orders, resolve issues, make product recommendations, and support upselling efforts.
  • Manage all customer interactions professionally and efficiently.
  • Use ERP (P21 and AS400) systems, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word daily.
  • Process vendor returns, pricing updates, and new item setup/maintenance.
  • Monitor inventory levels and work with vendors/purchasing to ensure timely fulfillment and delivery.
  • Generate scheduled invoices using both automated and manual processes.
  • Communicate regularly with colleagues, suppliers, and customers.
  • Demonstrate professionalism and integrity in all business interactions.
  • Support special projects and perform additional duties as assigned.
Additional Information
  • Compensation is based on experience.
  • Full time position, Monday–Friday (day shift).

Compensation starting at $44,779 - $70,367 depending on candidate location and experience.

The salary range represented is based on similar roles in comparable industries, and the cost of labor in respective cities. Actual compensation is based on the candidate's relevant experience, education requirements and peer pay equity. The Company reserves the right to modify the range as market conditions change.
