Overview
$13.00 to $20.00 per hour. This role is designed for external retail assistant managers and store managers interested in “fast-tracking” into a Store Management position. This role requires a minimum of 1 year retail management experience.

We are seeking a Store Manager Trainee with a minimum of six months of Store Management experience. A Store Manager Trainee is accountable for day-to-day store operations, promoting a positive environment, partnering with the Store Manager to lead and develop store employees, recruit and retain top talent, maximize financial goals, and manage Customer Relations / Customer Satisfaction. This position sets the tone for a customer-centric environment.
The Store Manager Trainee analyzes store financial statements to ensure goals are met and participates in asset protection, business promotion, and customer acquisition. All employees work with a variety of jewelry and general merchandise, including tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations), and more. This position offers an hourly wage plus commission based on productivity and a bonus based on store performance.

Responsibilities of a Store Management Trainee (This is a representative list and not all-inclusive; other duties may be assigned as needed.)
- Facilitate a customer-centric environment by engaging customers professionally and addressing issues promptly.
- Monitor and assist in training Pawnbrokers to meet First Cash standards.
- Recruit top talent through prescribed channels.
- Open and close the store, including cash and merchandise handling and asset protection procedures.
- Ensure asset protection through inventory control, safety procedures, documentation, and securing loans.
- Administer store processes including inventory, loan management, merchandising, store presentation, systems, and reporting.
- Evaluate store financial statements and drive profitability through communication and goal-setting.
- Ensure operating standards meet or exceed First Cash standards.
- Monitor loan qualification and buying processes to maintain value and integrity of loans.
- Complete assigned tasks and training for self-development.
- Communicate clearly to ensure employees understand the store’s mission and profit objectives.
- Stay up-to-date on product knowledge.
- The Assistant Store Manager acts as manager on duty in the absence of the Store Manager.
- Other related duties as assigned.
- Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
- Must be willing and able to perform duties for extended periods (standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, lifting).
- Demonstrated ability to supervise others.
- Ability to work with firearms and to become firearms certified.
- May be asked to assist customers exterior to the building or retrieve products stored in exterior storage areas.
