Retail Sales Associate - Part Time

Position Summary

We are seeking entry-level, part-time Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate in our pawn store locations nationwide. The role partners with the store team to ensure customer service on both lending and retail sides of the business. The associate greets, engages, and assists customers with sales, loans, and other transactions, and helps with inquiries and problem resolution. The position involves a variety of jewelry and general merchandise, including tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations), and more.

This is a part-time role with hourly pay plus commission based on productivity.

• Hourly wage: $11.00 to $14.00 per hour
• Commission: earn commission on transactions (up to 8% on some transactions, which can supplement hourly pay)

• Greet and interact with customers to develop rapport and provide appropriate financial solutions
• Perform non-management open/close procedures
• Keep the sales floor clean, stocked, and maintain merchandise displays
• Process sales and loan transactions in accordance with policies and regulatory requirements
• Handle cash and negotiable items per policies and procedures
• Answer incoming calls per company standards
• Explain legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers
• Communicate effectively with coworkers and managers; foster a positive customer experience
• Complete required training and participate in team collaboration
• Other related duties as assigned

• Willingness and ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds
• Ability to perform duties for extended periods (standing, walking, climbing, pushing/pulling) in accordance with applicable laws
• Ability to work with firearms and become firearms certified
• Availability to assist customers outside the building or retrieve products stored in exterior storage areas
• Minimum age 18;
  High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
• Strong desire to serve customers, be team-oriented, and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Basic math proficiency; cash handling experience preferred
• Ability to work at multiple locations as needed; flexible retail schedule including weekends and holidays
• Computer literacy and ability to operate POS systems
