Position: Hallmark Field Merchandiser (part-time) Cincinnati, OH 45220

Job Overview

As a Field Merchandiser, you will have the opportunity to work independently to showcase your organization and time‑management skills, establish retailer relationships, and serve as the face of Hallmark. You will collaborate with local store teams to optimize product placement, maintain inventory levels, and support fellow team members with seasonal resets and installations when needed. On occasion you may work with other products from additional companies in the stores you service.

and Schedule Details
  • Your starting hourly pay rate will be $14.00 - $16.00 depending on your skills and experience.
  • We provide paid training, delivered through live, hands‑on instruction as well as virtual classroom training.
  • Eligible employees receive annual pay increases.
  • This is a Part‑Time position with a variable schedule during the work week.
  • Average weekly hours for this position are between 5–10 hours per week.
  • Availability the week before and after major holidays, which may include weekends, is required.
  • Availability to support season changeovers, extended services, installations, and inventory support.

Part‑time employees with a work schedule less than 30 hours have access to a variety of voluntary benefits including dental, vision, critical illness, accident insurance, hospital indemnity, and minimum essential coverage (preventive care).

Your Role and Responsibilities
  • Day‑to‑day engagement:
    Using a Hallmark‑provided mobile device, restock, organize, and monitor inventory of Hallmark products both inside and outside the Hallmark department. Technology is critical for communication with supervisors, reporting time, providing feedback, and answering surveys. Professional and courteous interaction with store employees, management, and customers is essential. You are responsible for the entire Hallmark product display at your assigned stores.
  • Holiday support:
    During peak seasons such as Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas, you may be required to work additional days and extended hours, including on the actual holiday itself and on weekends.
  • Department resets:
    Participate in installations and related tasks such as building and installing Hallmark fixtures, relocating card departments and products, and resetting card sections. Advance notice is typically given two weeks prior to remodel assignments, which may require evenings or weekends.
  • Team collaboration:
    As part of Hallmark’s field organization, support other merchandisers as needed across territories.
Physical Requirements

This is a physically demanding job requiring a high level of energy and a sense of urgency. You will work on the sales floor and in back stockrooms, consistently push, pull, lift, and carry cartons, merchandise, and display fixtures up to 30 pounds throughout the workday, and up to 50 pounds on occasion. You will also need to kneel, squat, walk, and stand continuously, and may be required to climb stairs and step ladders.

Qualifications
  • At least 18 years of age.
  • Ability to read, write, and understand English.
  • Can grasp, pull, lift, and carry products up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Skill in operating a digital hand‑held device to open and read documents and interpret information.
  • Access to a Wi‑Fi network and the Internet.
  • Reliable transportation to travel to and between assigned stores as scheduled.
