Overview
The Society of St. Vincent de Paul - Cincinnati (SVDP) is seeking a motivated, customer-focused Retail Sales Associate for the Thrift Store & Donation Center in Colerain. The role involves providing exceptional customer service, assisting customers with purchases, and promoting products. The position supports a diverse customer base, with English-speaking and Spanish-speaking customers. Fluency in both languages is a plus but not required.
The organization serves Greater Cincinnati with basic needs support and strives to treat neighbors in need with dignity and compassion.
- Provide exceptional customer service to all customers
- Assist customers in finding and selecting products that meet their needs
- Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently using the cash register
- Process, sort, and price donations
- Maintain a clean and organized sales floor
- Stock shelves and ensure merchandise is properly displayed
- Answer customer inquiries
- Previous experience in retail sales is preferred but not required
- Ability to work in a team and demonstrate strong communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Willingness to participate in comprehensive training
- English and Spanish language skills are a plus but not required
- Full-time schedules are primarily required; day and evening shifts are available
- Employee may choose from full-time or part-time schedules, with current need focused on full-time
