$17.00 to $22.00 per hour

This role is designed for external retail assistant managers and store managers interested in “fast-tracking” into a Store Management position. This role requires a minimum of 1 year retail management experience.

We are seeking a Store Manager Trainee with a minimum of six months of Store Management experience. The trainee is accountable for day‑to‑day store operations and promotes a positive and productive environment. The role partners with the Store Manager to lead and develop employees, recruit and retain top talent, maximize financial goals, and manage customer relations and satisfaction.

Alongside the Store Manager, the trainee analyzes store financial statements to ensure financial goals are met. Commitment to the company’s asset protection program, promotion of the business, and targeting new customer acquisition are required. All employees work with a wide variety of jewelry and general merchandise, including tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations), and more.

This position offers an hourly wage plus commission based on productivity and a bonus based on store performance. Pay is based on location, qualifications, and experience.

• Facilitate a customer‑centric environment by engaging customers in a friendly and professional manner and rapidly addressing customer issues.
• Monitor and assist in the training of Pawnbrokers to meet First Cash standards.
• Recruit top talent through company‑prescribed channels.
• Open and close the store, including counting cash drawers and merchandise, and ensure all procedures protect assets.
• Ensure asset protection through inventory control, property safety procedures, documentation, and securing customer loans.
• Administer processes including inventory, loan management, merchandising, store presentation, store systems, and enterprise‑level reporting.
• Evaluate financial statements and drive profitability through communication and goal‑setting.
• Ensure operations meet or exceed First Cash standards.
• Monitor loan qualification and buying processes to ensure value and integrity of all loans issued.
• Complete assigned training and tasks for self‑development.
• Communicate clearly with employees to ensure understanding of the store’s mission and profit objectives.
• Remain up‑to‑date on product knowledge.
• The Assistant Store Manager acts as manager on duty in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Other related duties as assigned.
