We are looking for a Territory Sales Manager to join our team Industry-Leader of Motors and Drives. Innomotics is an industry-leading supplier of motors and large drive systems with more than 150 years of engineering expertise. Your Future Role
The Territory Sales Manager is focused on account development and sales of the world’s leading medium voltage drives, drive systems, medium and low voltage motors, and services portfolio. The assigned territory includes Indiana, Wisconsin, Illinois and Michigan. Travel expectation is 50%+. This is an individual contributor sales role. This position reports to the Regional Sales Director and ideally is centrally located within the assigned territory.
Responsibilities- The Territory Sales Manager coordinates and supports activities in the assigned region to position Innomotics products and optimize market position and financial return across the product life cycle.
- Develop an intimate knowledge of assigned customer needs and competitors, identify customer trends and drivers, and formulate and implement a strategic plan for the region.
- Demonstrate a good technical knowledge of the Innomotics Offering.
- Interact with cross-functional project teams in engineering, quality, sales, and marketing to serve the assigned region and customer base.
- Support our direct account managers and manufacturers’ representatives in all stages of the sales process. Coordinate with other regions, business development, and inside sales to ensure opportunity collection and account development.
- Strategic development and management of OEMs/Distributors/EUs in assigned territories; deliver quota and volume targets for MV drives, motors, and related services; convert and increase wallet share; leverage end users to drive spec influence with OEMs and channel partners; expand service agreements across the installed base; develop and implement account plans with high data quality; demonstrate customer application competence and technical product and service expertise;
prospect and onboard new accounts; understand customer buying behavior and internal processes; drive Innomotics digitalization strategy with all customers; understand Innomotics value proposition and focus areas; establish and maintain all levels of customer relationships; be a customer advocate and build win/win relationships.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
- 5–10 years of proven experience selling electrical power equipment
- Skills in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Ability to quickly grasp technical contexts and acquire knowledge in a technical field
- Proven communication skills and ability to influence customers and colleagues
- Strong mix of account management and new business development skills
- Strong sales and marketing background with a track record of achieving goals
- 5–10 years of proven experience with Medium Voltage Variable Frequency Drives is helpful
- Experience in power electronics design is helpful
- Experience in targeted markets (Oil & Gas, Power Gen, Chemical, Municipal) is helpful
The pay range for this position is $87,000 – $149,200. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
