Job Summary

This is a Hire Ahead position for Southwest Ohio branches. The role requires flexibility to work at all area branch locations. Be a problem solver, trusted advisor, and partner to the people and businesses in our Key Bank communities. Personal Bankers engage clients in deeper conversations to uncover needs and provide guidance and solutions to assist in clients' financial wellness both in person and through proactive calling efforts.

As part of the branch team, the Personal Banker will aim to attract new clients to Key and expand relationships with existing clients based on their unique financial goals, leading to client confidence in their finances. The Person al Banker is client‑first, sales‑driven, self‑motivated, and competitive. Strong teamwork, polished communication, and confidence are critical for this role.

Essential Functions
  • Embodies a strong client experience culture, being present with every client and teammate and realizing how their day, personally, professionally, and financially can be impacted.
  • Listen for clues for financial wellness opportunities during in‑person and over the phone client conversations and provide effective, customized financial wellness recommendations.
  • Consistently attain individual activity, behavior, and outcome goals and expectations.
  • Open personal and business accounts (consumer checking, small business, deposit products, home equity, unsecured lending, certificates of deposit, etc.).
  • Develop strong partnerships with branch teammates and line‑of‑business partners, focusing on client acquisition and deepening relationships with current clients; manage internal and external centers of influence.
  • Ensure compliance with operational, risk, security, and audit procedures and policies, including appropriate documentation of client interactions.
  • Support branch operations, including assisting with client transactions on the Teller line as needed.
  • Participate in and occasionally facilitate in‑person morning huddles and end‑of‑day debriefs.
  • Work on Saturdays as directed by management.
  • Perform other duties as assigned; duties may change or new ones may be assigned at any time with or without notice.
  • Comply with all Key Bank policies and procedures, acting professionally, ethically, avoiding conflicts of interest, and acting in the best interests of Key's clients and Key.
Education

High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent business experience (required) or Bachelor's Degree (preferred).

Work Experience
  • 1+ years of experience developing current and new customer relationships, achieving sales goals, and building referral sources. Sales experience is more important than financial services experience.
  • Understanding of consumer credit—including loan‑to‑value, debt‑to‑income, and credit reports.
  • Foundational knowledge of sales and service techniques with clients, including tele‑consulting, outside calling, prospecting, and networking.
  • Comfortable interacting with small business clients, overcoming objections, and asking fact‑finding questions with a goal of being helpful.
  • Demonstrated experience influencing business partners and leveraging centers of influence; this role will require significant influence of partners such as Key Investment Services, Mortgage, and Business Banking sales professionals.
  • Working knowledge of PCs (MS Windows and Office products).
  • Working knowledge of digital technology (mobile, apps, web‑based browsing) and the ability to educate clients on digital platforms and Key capabilities.
Licenses and Certifications

Notary License (preferred).

Skills
  • Knowledgeable about clients' accounts and business and uses sound judgment with clients and transactions.
  • Ability to attain sales and referral goals through preset appointments and quality conversations leading to recommendations that support clients' financial wellness goals.
  • Strong work ethic and high level of integrity.
  • Excellent time‑management skills.
