Location:

Cincinnati / Dayton, OH (Hybrid – field-based with office as home base)

The role

Emerge is seeking a full-cycle Account Executive to drive net-new business across territory markets. This is a hunter role for someone who enjoys building pipeline, getting in front of prospects, and closing long-term managed services partnerships. You will own the sales process from initial outreach through close, partnering closely with leadership and technical teams to deliver results.

Responsibilities
  • Prospect and engage new SMB and mid-market organizations across Cincinnati and Dayton
  • Generate pipeline and consistently secure first-time appointments (FTAs)
  • Build networks, connect with the right people to achieve goals, and work through formal channels to build relationships and support
  • Drive results: pursue everything with energy and drive with goals in mind, persisting in the face of challenge and setbacks
  • Instill trust: gain the trust and confidence of others easily and model high standards of honesty and integrity
  • Conduct discovery calls to uncover business challenges and technology needs
  • Own and manage the full sales cycle from prospecting through close
  • Present tailored managed IT and cloud solutions aligned to client needs
  • Collaborate with technical and leadership teams throughout the sales process
  • Maintain accurate pipeline, activity, and forecasting in Pipedrive
  • Leverage Apollo and Linked In for outbound prospecting
  • Build relationships within the local business community and referral network
  • Consistently meet and exceed activity and revenue targets

  • Strong communication skills with executive stakeholders
  • Self‑motivated, competitive, and comfortable operating autonomously
  • Experience using CRM and sales tools (Pipedrive, Apollo, Linked In or similar)
  • Ability to manage a field‑based schedule with regular in‑person meetings
  • Ability to sit at a desk and work on a computer for prolonged periods
  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times
  • Up to 20% travel may be required
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field preferred
  • Demonstrated proficiency in professional written and verbal communication
