SummaryRNDC is looking for a talented and energetic sales specialist to join our control states division. This role is responsible for selling products and services to a wide range of highly complex or major accounts and customers, and/or a specific supplier. The candidate must be able to increase the sales/client ratio and expand the customer base. The role requires a minimum of six or more years of sales experience and training and an advanced knowledge of company and competitor policies, products, and services.
Responsibilities- Demonstrate expertise in principles and methods for selling specialized, fine wine, vintage, luxury, and supplier‑specific products, including marketing strategy, product demonstration, and sales control systems.
- Manage pre‑sales and vintage‑sensitive projects and programs, developing and presenting sales and product presentations to customers.
- Train and educate the sales staff on all facets of wine knowledge, coach and mentor less experienced representatives, conduct training sessions, and monitor adherence to brand standards. Ensure approved training events at least twice annually.
- Develop long‑term sales plans for key customers and monitor and adapt sales activities to meet objectives.
- Work with the marketing team on pricing programs for non‑mainstream items to ensure a competitive product line that meets supplier goals.
- Solicit business by visiting customers, introducing new products, preparing price quotations, delivery dates, and service obligations.
- Provide customer and personal services, assess customer needs, meet quality standards, evaluate satisfaction, and resolve complaints in accordance with company policy.
- Influence full‑book resources for District Managers and representatives to amplify brands, provide execution guidelines, and communicate market opportunities.
- Associates degree or bachelor’s degree highly preferred; related sales experience and/or training in wine and/or spirits sales is required.
- Above‑average knowledge of wine and/or spirits.
- Related sales experience of six years or more; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Current state driver’s license and ability to meet company vehicle insurance requirements.
- Alcohol Beverage Commission (ABC) license or permit, as required by the state.

The salary range for this position typically begins at $54,600.00 and may extend to $78,000.00, depending on qualifications, skills, and experience. Monthly earned commissions may also be included. The range applies specifically to positions located in Ohio and may differ for other locations.
