Role SummaryReporting to the Sales Manager, the Account Manager is a key member of the Sales team. This role focuses on outside customer sales, engagement, and satisfaction through direct contact, phone, or other electronic communications. Responsibilities include territory management, customer interaction, needs identification, sales calls, and closing deals. The candidate works within an established account base and is accountable for meeting sales and margin objectives.
Key Responsibilities- Contact customers and articulate Kendall’s value proposition for products and services.
- Keep the CRM system up to date with account, contact, and opportunity pipeline information.
- Attend sales meetings, company meetings, industry shows, and conventions as requested.
- Represent Kendall professionally in presentations, briefings, and trade events.
- Entertain customers and maintain goodwill.
- Promote customer training (lunch and learns, etc.).
- Make special or emergency deliveries if needed.
- Contribute to annual budgeting and forecasting.
- Forward competitor activity and potential sales leads.
- Plan strategy, goals, and objectives for each account.
- Regularly meet or exceed sales targets.
- Perform business reviews to align Kendall capabilities with client goals and present to executive levels in the client organization.
- Make phone calls independently or with internal resources to achieve account goals.
- Coordinate with Kendall management and technical team to develop customer strategies and maximize profits.
- Manage proposal delivery, including follow‑up, and work with resources to develop proposals.
- Pursue desirable business that aligns with company goals.
- Maximize gross margin and meet Kendall profit goals from assigned accounts.
- Participate in project management meetings to ensure customer satisfaction and identify revenue opportunities.
- Review all pertinent sales reports regularly.
- Provide value‑added service by helping customers find more efficient solutions.
- Represent the company in all public relations capacities.
- Submit calls, expense, and other reports as required.
- Work with the Project Team to present change orders on given projects.
- Act as liaison between various Kendall resources to resolve account issues, including project delays, warranty, and repair issues.
- Assist in collecting from delinquent accounts; may obtain credit information from new customers.

- Previous sales experience.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Proficient with Microsoft Office products (e.g., Word, Excel) and the ability to learn new software. Strong business acumen, problem‑solving skills, critical thinking, and analytical abilities.
