Role Description

Hyperlux Logistics is hiring for our August Business Development Representative class
. This is a full-time, on-site role based in the Cincinnati / Loveland, OH area.

The Business Development Representative will be responsible for identifying, qualifying, and developing new customer opportunities. This includes researching target accounts, prospecting new leads, conducting outreach by phone and email, and building relationships with shippers who need reliable transportation solutions.

In this role, you will learn the fundamentals of freight brokerage, customer development, pricing, carrier relationships, and logistics operations. You will work closely with sales leadership, operations, and account management to understand customer needs, present Hyperlux’s service offerings, and help create solutions that deliver value.

Daily responsibilities include prospecting new business, maintaining accurate activity in CRM tools, tracking pipeline progress, supporting customer conversations, assisting with quotes and proposals, and collaborating with internal teams to ensure a smooth customer experience.

This role is ideal for someone who is competitive, coachable, resilient, relationship-driven, and excited to grow in a fast-paced industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and research prospective customers in target industries.
  • Conduct outbound sales activity through phone, email, and other channels.
  • Qualify new business opportunities and schedule customer conversations.
  • Learn customer shipping needs and communicate Hyperlux’s value clearly and confidently.
  • Build trust-based relationships with prospects, customers, and internal team members.
  • Partner with operations to support pricing, service execution, and customer handoffs.
  • Maintain accurate notes, activity, and pipeline updates in CRM systems.
  • Stay organized while managing multiple prospects, accounts, and follow-up tasks.
  • Use technology, data, and internal tools to improve efficiency and sales execution.
  • Represent Hyperlux with professionalism, urgency, and integrity.
Qualifications
  • Strong communication skills, including confident phone presence, professional writing, and active listening.
  • Motivated, competitive, and goal-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to build relationships and establish trust with customers and teammates.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Willingness to learn logistics, transportation, pricing, and freight brokerage fundamentals.
  • Comfortable using CRM systems, spreadsheets, sales tools, and technology-driven workflows.
  • Coachable attitude with a desire to grow professionally.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Previous experience in sales, customer service, logistics, transportation, or B2B business development is a plus, but not required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Communications, or a related field is preferred.
