Job Overview
Johnson & Johnson is a leading global health company dedicated to developing innovative medical solutions. This role is for an Account Executive II – Advanced Surgical Instruments (ASI) in the Orlando, Florida territory to support the sales of Ethicon surgical products.
Responsibilities- Own the full range of Ethicon offerings, including hemostasis, energy sealing and dissection, surgical stapling and wound closure platforms.
- Sell surgical solutions to surgeons and hospital decision makers, focusing on operating room settings.
- Be assigned and manage a sales territory of physicians and hospital institutions.
- Achieve forecasted sales targets within assigned accounts and territory.
- Prioritize opportunities and make sound business decisions based on account data.
- Understand and demonstrate proper use of products to clinicians in the operating room.
- Manage customer questions and objections consistent with product indications and sales training methodology.
- Execute the selling cycle in a concise, professional, ethical manner that complies with healthcare guidelines.
- Conduct sales presentations using current selling methods learned in sales training courses.
- Analyze data, stay updated on market information, and engage in business planning.
- Build excellent customer relations with key physicians, hospital personnel, and authorized distributors.
- Conduct customer education seminars as appropriate.
- Comply with safety standards and demonstrate product, procedure, and clinical knowledge.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 2–4 years of relevant business experience in medical sales (device, pharmaceutical, biotechnology) or healthcare, with a record of exceeding sales objectives.
- A valid driver’s license issued in the United States.
- Demonstrated sales performance with high growth and results versus plan.
- Ability to target accounts and achieve results via a daily action plan; collaboration with peers, marketing, strategic account managers, external distributors, and KOLs.
- Strong time‑management and planning skills.
- Experience in hospital‑based pharmaceutical or medical device sales, especially operating‑room sales.
- Experience developing new, innovative markets.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills; team orientation.
