Retail Engagement Specialist

Overview

Join 2020 Companies as a Retail Engagement Specialist and play a key role in building retail partner relationships, increasing program visibility, and supporting business growth across your territory. This is a field‑based role located in Cincinnati, OH, with a regular work schedule of Monday through Friday. Compensation includes $21 per hour plus a 10% monthly bonus opportunity.

• Visit retail locations within your assigned territory and engage with merchants in a professional, relationship‑focused manner.
• Introduce and educate new merchants on the client’s financial services and program benefits.
• Provide on‑site support, answer questions, and address concerns to ensure merchant understanding and confidence.
• Place and maintain point‑of‑sale materials and branding in‑store.
• Document visits and track activity using mobile tools and reporting systems.
• Work closely with leadership to ensure territory goals and coverage expectations are met.
• Maintain accurate documentation for each visit and submit feedback reports in a timely manner.

This is a field‑based position with daily travel within the assigned territory. Approximately 22‑35 retail visits per day are expected, depending on geography and scheduling. The role involves a mix of in‑store engagement, driving, and administrative follow‑up, requiring an independent work style supported by leadership and training teams.

• High school diploma or equivalent; 6 months of prior sales, promotion, retail, or marketing experience preferred.
• Strong communication, presentation, interpersonal, and problem‑solving skills.
• Proficiency with mobile tools and reporting systems.
• Organized, reliable, and able to manage a daily route independently.
• Adaptable, professional, customer‑focused, and capable of working in a field‑based environment.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 15 lbs. at a time.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license with proof of insurance and successful motor vehicle record screening.

• Meet or exceed quarterly visit goals.
• Meet or exceed weekly in‑store time goals.
• Visit multiple store locations daily and weekly, scheduling visits two weeks or more in advance.
• Execute assigned activities inside each location during all visits.
• Demonstrate the ability to establish and influence business relationships through merchant awareness, POP placement, and consistent productivity.
