MRA (The Management Association) is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive membership growth, expand client relationships, and connect organizations with solutions that help their businesses thrive.
This is a consultative sales and business development role within a professional services organization serving more than 5,500 employers across the Midwest. You ll partner with business leaders to identify workforce challenges, uncover opportunities, and demonstrate the value of MRA s comprehensive portfolio of services, including HR consulting, training and development, recruitment and retention solutions, compensation support, compliance resources, professional round tables, and member-exclusive content.

We are looking for a motivated relationship-builder who enjoys developing new business, growing existing accounts, and serving as a trusted advisor to members throughout their journey with MRA.
This is a flexible location, hybrid role, with most of your time scheduled by you, out of the office, and onsite with members. If you are that dynamic, friendly, motivated HR problem solver with an engine to grow and build, we want to speak with you!
Responsibilities- Drive membership growth and expand client relationships. Identify opportunities and connect organizations with MRA solutions that address workforce challenges.
- Engage in consultative sales and business development within a professional services context; partner with business leaders to articulate value across MRA s service portfolio.
- Develop new business and grow existing accounts by building trusted advisor relationships with members throughout their journey with MRA.
- Education: Bachelor s degree in Marketing, Sales, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred). Association Management or Human Resource-related field (preferred).
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years in sales or business development (required); inside or outside sales experience (preferred).
- Performance: Demonstrated success in achieving sales goals, with a strong focus on meeting activity targets and performance metrics (preferred).
- Technical
Skills:
Proficiency in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems; experience with Salesforce (preferred). PC competence (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is required. - Competencies: Ability to quickly learn and effectively communicate a wide range of product offerings.
- Other Requirements: Ability to travel within assigned territory to meet with members and prospects on-site.

The approximate base pay range for this position is based on location. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be dependent on factors, including but not limited to the individual s qualifications, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as physical work location within the state.
