Mid-Atlantic Region Distribution Team Co-Op

Liberty Mutual Insurance is seeking motivated and career-driven individuals to join our Mid-Atlantic Region Distribution Team. This six-month, hands-on development program prepares participants for a successful career in insurance, building foundational knowledge of insurance products, consultative sales skills, and real-world experience working alongside Personal and Commercial Lines Distribution, Claims, Product, Underwriting, and Marketing teams.

The program is built in three phases:
Foundation Building (project management, product knowledge, and systems training), Sales Development (agency interactions, needs-based selling, and closing support), and Business Development (prospecting, networking, and pipeline management).

As a co-op on the Mid-Atlantic Region Distribution Team, you will learn about both personal and commercial insurance products while shadowing and partnering with Territory Managers (Distribution), Claims, Product, and Underwriting teams across Personal and Commercial Lines. Your primary responsibility will be an ongoing strategic project with Distribution, and you will also assist with prospecting, outreach, and client relationship building, using CRM tools such as Salesforce and SharePoint to manage pipeline activity.

You will self-study selected insurance designations during your tenure with the company (for example, AINS and CIC) and work toward your Ohio retail insurance license. Upon successful completion of the program, you will receive strong consideration for entry into Liberty Mutual's PDP and/or Pace Setter Programs.

Across the six months you will gain real-world experience in a consultative insurance environment, expert mentorship from experienced sales professionals, multi-functional exposure to Liberty Mutual organizations within the Independent Agency Channel, and professional development support for insurance designations.
