ClearVision Product Specialist

Valco Melton is seeking a Clear Vision Product Specialist to join our corporate Sales team in Cincinnati. The Clear Vision Product Specialist will perform technical sales, project management, and high-level product support for Valco Melton's full line of vision inspection and quality assurance systems.

This is a dual sales / technical expert role that entails developing business of your own as well as supporting other members of the Sales team. Support for other team members will involve general technical support, installation guidance, and assistance pre- and post-installation, with site visits to customer facilities as needed. Primary area of focus for this position will be the US and Canada but there will also be opportunities to work with our global offices to help grow market share for our vision inspection products worldwide.

Regular travel, both domestic and international, will be required in this role. Although travel percentage may fluctuate,
approximately 50% travel will be expected overall
. When not travelling, the Clear Vision Product Specialist will work from an office at the Valco Melton headquarters in Cincinnati.

• Executing and / or supporting new business development in the quality assurance and vision inspection markets.
• Take the lead on project management for all vision system projects.
• Become an expert in Valco Melton's equipment, particularly vision inspection technologies, through training and hands-on installations.
• Assist with growing existing customer relationships through high-level technical support - often in conjunction with Territory Sales Managers.
• Liaison between Sales and Engineering to ensure seamless collaboration and information flow.
• Present new products and applications to customers and work with customers and partners to determine features, benefits, and ROI.
• Provide high-level technical support for installations when needed.
• Provide expert training for internal team members and customers when needed.
• Nationwide travel in support of the various Sales teams.

• A 4-year Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline OR a 2-year / 3-year technical degree and equivalent technical experience.
• 1 - 3 years of experience in technical sales (co-ops and internships are acceptable).
• Technical aptitude for electrical / mechanical equipment.
• Excellent project management skills.
• Effective communication to sell to, support, and train others.
• Capable of efficient self-management with travel flexibility up to 50% of the month.
• Ability to effectively interact at all levels of a corporation from the CEO/President to the Maintenance Shop.
• Capable of dealing effectively with high-pressure and demanding environments.
• Prior technical experience with computer vision or machine vision equipment (preferred).
