Position: Neuroscience Account Manager (Psychiatry) - Cincinnati, OH

Primary Responsibilities

  • Execute and promote products in alignment with sales strategy in the assigned territory.
  • Collaborate with the Neuroscience District Sales Manager on day-to-day sales and product promotion strategy.
  • Analyze local market; develop, execute, and monitor performance to maximize product use in territory.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of product, disease, competition, and market reimbursement.
  • Determine, implement, and monitor optimal resource allocation (budgets, time, etc.) in territory.
  • Use advanced selling and negotiation skills to communicate persuasively with target audiences.
  • Identify, build, and leverage advocacy channels.
  • Secure product access and reimbursement within institutional systems as needed.
  • Manage travel and promotional budget.
  • Complete monitoring/reporting requirements (expenses and call reporting) using approved systems.
  • Meet credentialing requirements for healthcare providers, customer facilities, and state/local governments.
  • Additional ad-hoc projects as needed.
Education & Experience Requirements
  • BS or BA with GPA > 3.0.
  • Minimum 3 years of pharmaceutical sales experience preferred; otherwise may be considered for an Associate role.
  • Atypical anti-psychotic and/or orphan drug experience preferred.
  • Specialty experience in psychiatry, bipolar, depression, CNS, or pain management preferred.
  • Reimbursement experience preferred.
  • Existing relationships (or within 24 months) with psychiatrists and/or Community Mental Health Centers in assigned territory preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving history.
  • Self-starter with proven track record of above-average results; “hunter” mentality.
  • Strong territory relationships and knowledge preferred.
  • Ability to travel (including overnights); out-of-territory travel to HQs/training/sales meetings may be required.
  • Must reside within territory geography.
Performance/Role Skills
  • Clinical, patient-centric, tactical; excellent interpersonal/verbal/written communication.
  • Ability to navigate complex markets/organizations; manage multiple priorities; read situations and adjust.
  • Computer proficient; ability to lift/move up to 15 lbs occasionally.
