You will:

  • Conduct scientific evaluation and analyses for Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA) risk-management rule making.
  • Represent the Agency in internal and external forums, serving as an expert and primary scientific speaker on topics related to risk management.
  • Serve as a senior scientific advisor to Office of Pollution Prevention and Toxics (OPPT) senior management for program strategy and resolution of complex issues.
  • Independently initiate, plan, and conduct assessments of the implication of technological alternatives that affect the release or exposure of hazardous chemicals.
  • Prepare and deliver briefings for high level Agency officials concerning major program issues.

    • You will spend less than 25% of your work time on contracts, grants/cooperative agreements, and/or interagency agreements. One or more positions may be filled (in the organization advertised and/or in other organizations), if appropriate to the position.
