Research Assistant, Division of Hematology & Oncology
The University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, in partnership with the UC Health academic healthcare system and Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center, is recruiting for a full-time Research Assistant in a lab focused on investigating bone complications and bone pain in sickle and control mice.
Essential Functions:
- Active role in animal husbandry within the lab including but not limited to: preparing for bone marrow transplants (BMT), identifying donors and colony managers, performing injections and cell cultures.
- Document and organize research results and data according to NIH's preferred good laboratory management practices (Lab Archives) and UCLIMS.
- Make independent contributions to projects and studies based on evidence-based literature.
- Perform statistical and graphical analysis of data, interpretation of data, and validity of testing.
- Maintain timely project goals, deadlines, and studies for contributions to publications and grant funding applications.
Required
Education:
Bachelor's Degree. Four (4) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement.

Conditions that affect the respiratory system, such as fumes, odors, dusts, mists, gases, or poor ventilation.
