Research Assistant, Division of Hematology & Oncology

The University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, in partnership with the UC Health academic healthcare system and Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center, is recruiting for a full-time Research Assistant in a lab focused on investigating bone complications and bone pain in sickle and control mice.

Essential Functions:

• Active role in animal husbandry within the lab including but not limited to: preparing for bone marrow transplants (BMT), identifying donors and colony managers, performing injections and cell cultures.
• Document and organize research results and data according to NIH's preferred good laboratory management practices (Lab Archives) and UCLIMS.
• Make independent contributions to projects and studies based on evidence-based literature.
• Perform statistical and graphical analysis of data, interpretation of data, and validity of testing.
• Maintain timely project goals, deadlines, and studies for contributions to publications and grant funding applications.

Required

Education:

Bachelor's Degree. Four (4) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement.
