Chemist – Wet Chemistry​/Laboratory Equipment

Laboratory Chemist Position

Location:

Cincinnati, OH

Duration: 6 months

Required Technical/Functional

Skills:

• Experience handling wet chemistry laboratory equipment.
• Hands-on experience with:
  • pH Meter – Chemistry lab; should be available wherever degradation testing is conducted.
  • Stir Plate – Chemistry lab/degradation testing.
  • Water Baths & Temperature Monitoring System – Chemistry lab/degradation testing.
  • Dishwasher – Chemistry lab.
  • Fume Hoods – Chemistry lab.
  • Drying Glovebox – Location may include Ash View, Flex Lab, or Chemistry Lab.
  • Mocon Oxygen Tester – Currently on pilot floor; may be relocated.
  • Karl Fischer Test System – Chemistry lab.
  • Oven for KF Samples – Chemistry lab; may be located elsewhere if needed.

Nice-to-Have

Skills:

• Understanding of GMP and regulated laboratory environments.
• Experience in medical device or pharmaceutical industries preferred.
• Experience supporting IQ/OQ/PQ for laboratory equipment or processes.
• Strong documentation practices aligned with audit-ready and traceable systems.
• Laboratory management experience.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Ensure strict adherence to laboratory safety protocols when working with hazardous chemicals.
• Perform chemical characterization using:
  • FTIR
  • DSC
  • Titration methods
• Support GMP compliance and maintain audit-ready documentation.
• Assist with laboratory equipment/process validation, including IQ/OQ/PQ.
• Support overall laboratory operations and equipment management.
